The Mulla Asghar Memorial Tournament (MAMT) is the biggest annual sporting event within the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri community of Europe.The tournament was first held in 2000, albeit under a different name of "The COEJ bank holiday August Tournament."
It was later renamed to the Mullah Asghar Memorial Tournament (MAMT) in memory of Mullah Asghar who sadly passed away in 2001.Since its inception, MAMT has grown from a mere 120 participants to currently over 1000 sportsmen and women and this number continues to grow each year.
